How to Paint Aluminum or Vinyl Siding

July 12, 2015 at 3:24 pm | Category: Exterior Painting, Power Washing

First of all painting aluminum siding or vinyl siding can be done as long as the preparation to do so is done professionally.
We have seen so many times when a home owner tries to soft or power wash their surface it makes a mess of their home before painting the vinyl or aluminum siding . First we start with a soft wash, we soft wash which is the professional way to do things so we do not damage the surface we are going to paint. High pressure does not mean better in any means. As professional painters and washers we can let the cleaners and soaps do the work for us without damaging the surface which could cause significant damage. Power washing is the leading cause of insurance claims in our business.
Second after the surface is washed there may still be some chalk (oxidation) on the surface. This is 100% fine , we will use a specialized bonding additive to the paints just for this reason, after the home or business is covered, masked and ready for paint we will spray this lock down coat on and check for any imperfections. After the required dry time we will spray the second coat on the surface. Finally we unmask the building to reveal an brand new home or business.
